Got this text message from Gareth the other day:
'Will you come and get my cap with me, John Lees nicked it and threw it in a garden'. *coughs*
John Lees is the type of person I have never been able to figure out. The type of person who spends his time hanging around on street corners, entertaining himself by abusing random passers by.
I feel that the girls who do this are the worst. Massive gold creole earrings and orange makeup stains around the necks of their tops ahoy!
I think it would be an excellent idea for everyone to be steralised up until the age of twenty or so. It amazes and shocks me, seeing people who I was at school with, even ones who were in the year below me, with prams in tow.
The sort of people, who at school, spent their lessons behind the PE block smoking Lambert & Butler. The type of people who I know wont have bothered quitting smoking through their pregnancies, may not have even been able to, on account of them having smoked 20 a day since the age of ten. It also amazes me how they can afford these cigarrettes. Their parents perhaps, although in most cases, the parents are no better.
The parents, who had their children when they too were teenagers, smoked through their pregnancies, instead of used words like 'bastard' as opposed to 'naughty' to let their child know they had done wrong. Threats of 'beating the crap out of them' as opposed to sending them to bed. So what chance did a lot of the girls I was at school with have anyway?
As for parents who beat their children, or even shake them when they are very young, it has been proved this causes damage to the front of the brain, and this sort of brain damage often causes people to be violent. A trend among murderers and excessivly violent people is that they were abused as children. It is not only the psychological effect which causes them to be violent, it has been proved the damage caused to their brain also has an effect. And in fact, this has been used in court and has meant a life sentence instead of the death penalty to a number of people who commited extremely violent crimes.
Anyway, my point is, if everyone was steralised up until a certain age, it would be a sure way of preventing all these unwanted teenage pregnancies. It could be argued that it would mean an increase in sexually transmitted diseases, but very few of these teenagers are using condoms anyway. It is common for girls to use the contraceptive pill, and for them to forget to take it, meaning they get pregnant. So yes, I think temporary steralisation is the way.
